Goal:
Research and create a presentation of a historical American figure.
Materials:
- Poster board
- Glue
- Scissors
- Magazines
Procedure:
Divide students into small groups. Assign or allow each group to choose a historical American figure. Students will create a collage using magazine clippings to represent the contributions of the historical figure and famous quotes from that figure. Groups may give an oral presentation of the historical figure using the poster as a visual aid.
Assessment:
Use a rubric to assess student presentations.
